xvi., 254, errata leaf. 21 sepia aquatints of the Inns of Court. Bound in a very pleasant full tan calf executed by Baytun Riviere. Black and red title labels, and compartments filled with a leaf and berry design. Gilt lines to the boards, with a leaf and berry design towards the corners between lines. Blind stamped vine-leaf border panel in the middle of each board. Gilt inner-dentelles, and all edges gilt, 236 mm tall. A beautiful volume. Samuel Ireland was the father of the Shakespeare forger W. H. Ireland.
